چکیده
T h e e f f e c t of supplying the young chicken with ca lc ium in e x c e s s o f i t s requirements has been examined in some detai 1 l Excess calcium has been shown to reduce growth rate and increase feed conversion ratio, but the effect i s incons i s tent . Genetic e f f e c t s on the response have been identi f ied. The reduction in g r o w t h i s considered not t o r e s u l t from altered calciumphssphorus r a t i o s a s both calcium carbonates and phosphates depress growth, Increasing the electrolytes, sod i urn and potassium, does not effect the response to excess’ calcium. Biotin addit ion reduces the effect on feed conversion ratio.,

Effect of Calcium and Phosphorus Levels (With and Without Phytase Enzymes) on Liver Enzymes and Blood Parameters in Arian Broiler Chickens
An experiment was done for studying different levels of Ca & P (with and without Phytaze enzyme) on liver enzymes and blood parameters in Arian broiler chickens. Two hundred eighty eight broiler chicken were used in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replicates with 12 chickens in each floor pen. Broiler chickens were fed with different levels of Ca and P (with or withou...
متن کاملStudy on the effect of high calcium intake on serum protein bound iodine and urinary excretion of iodine
Iodine deficiency remains a major health problem in the world, including some parts of Iran. It has been recognized that there is usually a close and inverse relationship between iodine in the soil and water and presence of endemic goiter. Calcium has been suggested as one of goitrogens, though the definite role, extent and mechanism particularly in human have not been studied. Serum protein-...

Extende Abstract Introduction and Objective: The present research was performed to evaluate the effect of different levels of valine in low protein diets on performance, blood parameters and tibia bone properties of Ross-308 broiler chickens from 8-21 days. Material and Methods: For this purpose, a total of 200 one-day-old male broilers of Ross-308 strain from 8 to 21 days of age in 4 treatm...
متن کاملEffect of Feeding Different Dietary Protein Levels with Iso-Caloric Ration on Nutrients Intake and Growth Performances of Dual-Purpose Koekoeck Chicken Breeds
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of feeding different levels of crude protein (CP) but similar levels of energy on nutrients intake and growth performance traits of Koekoeck chickens. Two hundred chicks irrespective of their sexes were randomly assigned to 4 treatment diets (T) containing 16% CP (T1), 18% CP (T2), 20% CP (T3) and 22% CP (T4). Each treatment groups were replicat...
متن کاملThe effects of high calcium intake on the activity of thyroid gland in rats
The effects of goitrogens on the thyroid gland have been much studied and calcium is considered as a goitrogen in some cases. Since the level of calcium is high in drinking water of some cities of Khozestan province, the effects of high calcium intake on the function of thyroid gland is investigated in this study. For this purpose the concentration of thyroid hormones is measured in rats. The s...
متن کاملEffects of Calcium, Phosphorus and Zinc in Wheat-Based Diets on Broiler Chickens’ Performance, Immunity and Bone Parameters
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of zinc (Zn) supplementation and different concentrations of calcium (Ca) and phosphorus (P) in wheat-based diets on the performance, immune responses and bone parameters of broiler chickens. A randomized complete block design with factorial arrangement was used (three concentrations of Zn supplementation×two concentrations of dietary Ca-P),...
